Collection: Ametrine Loose

Unique. Double the fun.

A blend of amethyst and citrine resulting from varying temperatures across one stone, ametrine derives almost exclusively from one mine deep in the lowlands of Bolivia. A popular legend links ametrine to a certain Princess Anahi of the Bolivian Ayoreo tribe. Engaged in a forbidden love affair with a conquistador (as the story goes), her tribesmen kill her, but not before she gives her lover a gift — a glowing crystal of ametrine.
